Kalray selected to present at Hot Chips 27

Kalray, the inventor of Supercomputing on a chip™, is pleased to announce its participation at Hot Chips 27, taking place August 23rd to 25th in Cupertino, CA USA.

Benoît Dupont de Dinechin, Kalray CTO, will present at the symposium. His presentation, titled “Revisiting DSP acceleration with the new generation of highly demanding embedded applications”, will take place on Monday, August 24th during the “Multimedia and Signal Processing” session, and will introduce the new generation of manycore processors, such as Kalray MPPA®, in the context of some of the most demanding automotive, industrial, medical, and aerospace applications.

The presentation will use the example of the autonomous vehicles of the future to highlight some key industry challenges including the need for processors to run a large set of highly critical and heterogeneous functions while complying with the strict regulatory standards and certifications required by the automotive industry.

As a conclusion, it will explain how Kalray Supercomputing on a chip™ architecture can overcome these challenges by enabling the processing of multiple compute-intensive heterogeneous applications at very low power and without compromising time-critical operations.
