Kalray is excited to be exhibiting at booth #350, at the 2016 edition of Interop, which will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, from May 4-5, 2016.
For the past 30 years, Interop has been one of the most important independent events for the world’s IT community, giving IT companies and professionals the opportunity to meet each other, to network and to exhibit their technology and innovations. This year will mark the first time that Kalray will be exhibiting at the event.
As a leader in providing acceleration solutions for data centers, Kalray will take advantage of its exhibition booth to share a storage demonstration device based on its recently introduced SmartNIC, KONIC80, implementing a “NVME Direct” SSD controller.
The smartNIC manages the Ethernet termination and processes the NVME-associated data and commands on its 256 programmable cores. Operations, such as erasure coding, logical volume management, deduplication or encryption, can be implemented on the 256 cores at wire speed using software, before going to the network (read) or to the SSD (write). This all takes place without any host processor involvement.
The technology is an exceptional example of Kalray’s winning combination of high performance, low latency and low power consumption.

Kalray’s team of processing experts will be present at Interop to discuss the demo and will be available for onsite meetings.
