WHAT YOU ‘LL BE DOING:

As part of the launch of new strategic projects, we are strengthening our Software Networking team. You will join a small, dynamic group of 7 people, based in France, responsible for developing networking software solutions that span the entire stack, from hardware-level drivers to cloud-scale virtual switching.

As our Software Test & Validation Engineer, your mission will be to ensure the stability, performance, and bulletproof reliability of our networking solutions.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and fully automated test frameworks using Python to validate our cutting-edge DPU platform.
  •  Develop automated test suites for functional, regression, performance, and stress testing across the networking stack (including MAC/PHY drivers, kernel modules, and data plane solutions).
  •  Define test strategies and test plans based on product requirements and architectural specifications, collaborating closely with software and hardware teams.
  •  Investigate, reproduce, and debug complex, system-level issues, working hand-in-hand with developers to find root causes.
  •  Profile, analyze, and benchmark network performance (throughput, latency, packet loss) to identify software bottlenecks and validate hardware acceleration features.
  • Collaborate closely with software, hardware, and system architecture teams to ensure testability and smooth feature delivery.
  • Integrate and optimize automated tests into our continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines to enable seamless, automated quality gates.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Technical skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Python for scripting, test framework development, and automation.
  • Solid experience in software validation, test automation, or QA for embedded systems or networking software.
  • Good understanding of fundamental networking concepts, including TCP/IP, Ethernet, network protocols, and packet forwarding techniques.
  • Extensive familiarity with Linux environments, including shell scripting and basic driver/kernel concepts.

Nice to have:

  • Hands-on experience testing data plane solutions utilizing DPDK or Open vSwitch (OVS).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins) and infrastructure automation.
  •  Experience validating performance/tuning for high-throughput, low-latency networking applications.
  • Experience with traffic generation and analysis tools (e.g., Scapy, TRex, Iperf, Wireshark).
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies like SR-IOV and KVM

Profile:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in software validation, QA automation, or embedded software engineering.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • A proactive approach with a strong sense of ownership and a “break-it-to-make-it-better” testing mindset.
  • Curiosity and motivation to learn in a fast-evolving technical environment.

Of course, you might not have all of those required skills! But feel free to apply anyway and explain to us why you believe you are the right person for the job.
