WHAT YOU 'LL BE DOING:
As a Senior System Architect, you will play a key role within the System architecture team to help shape the next generation of our advanced IPU solutions. Leveraging your deep hardware and software expertise, you will define and optimize system-level architecture to deliver high-performance, scalable, and power-efficient solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Own and define the high-level SoC and system architecture based on product requirements, balancing performance, power, area (PPA), and time-to-market constraints.
- Collaborate closely across hardware, software, and firmware teams to ensure cohesive integration of SoC IP blocks, compute subsystems, accelerators, and system services.
- Drive key architectural decisions around packet processing pipelines, networking, storage hierarchies, virtualization layers, and end-to-end dataflow management.
- Evaluate, integrate, and optimize critical hardware subsystems, including MMUs/IOMMUs, PCIe controllers, Ethernet MAC/PHY, security engines, and memory subsystems.
- Guide software-stack enablement, including Linux kernel internals, device drivers, virtualization frameworks (KVM, containers), DPDK, Open vSwitch, and system services.
- Model, simulate, and analyze system- and dataflow-level performance, ensuring scalability, determinism, and reliability under high-throughput workloads.
- Lead architecture validation and risk management, working hand-in-hand with verification, performance, and platform teams.
- Communicate architectural trade-offs and technical status clearly to stakeholders, contributing to roadmap definition and long-term product strategy.
- Act as a technical leader and mentor, helping structure cross-functional workstreams and guiding design teams toward high-quality, aligned solutions.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Skills:
- Hardware: Deep understanding of processor and accelerator architectures, MMUs/IOMMUs, PCIe/CXL, Ethernet subsystems, DDR memory systems, coherency protocols, and high-speed interconnects.
- Software: Strong experience with Linux kernel development, low-level drivers, virtualization stacks (KVM, containers), and embedded software.
- Networking: Solid grasp of Ethernet protocols and network virtualization technologies
- Packet Processing: Hands-on expertise with high-performance packet frameworks (DPDK, Open vSwitch, or equivalent).
- SoC/System Architecture: Familiarity with SoC design flows, IP integration, performance modeling, PPA optimization, and system-level trade-off analysis.
- Dataflow & Performance Analysis: Ability to profile, model, and optimize complex data pipelines and throughput-critical workloads.
- Leadership: Proven ability to guide cross-functional technical teams and drive architectural alignment in fast-paced environments.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication, able to simplify and present complex architectural concepts clearly.
Profile:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields
- 8+ years of experience in system architecture roles within the semiconductor industry or related fields
- Curious, autonomous, and detail-oriented
- Fluent in French and proficient in technical English
- Team player with a collaborative, problem-solving mindset
5G & Telecom Software Designer
