WHAT YOU 'LL BE DOING:

As an Innovation and Advanced Technology Manager, you will support Kalray in the identification of next-generation technologies in the semiconductor, AI and datacenter domains that would be relevant for the company.

This role drives early-stage technology exploration, shapes long-term product and technology roadmaps, and builds the external innovation ecosystem required to translate breakthrough concepts into viable designs Kalray can embed in its IPs and products.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Scout and evaluate disruptive or emerging technologies and long term opportunities aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Identify and coordinate advanced studies in domains relevant to Kalray (advanced processor architectures, data center & AI infrastructures).
  • Establish and cultivate an innovation ecosystem, including partnerships with universities, research institutes, startups, and technology vendors.
  • Identify opportunities for joint development programs, research collaborations, and external innovation initiatives.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product Management, System Architecture, Strategic Projects & Public Affairs to translate advanced concepts into roadmap items, development programs, and external innovation initiatives.
 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

 Skills:

  • Experience in early-stage technology identification, assessment, and translation into actionable innovation strategies.
  • Ability to rapidly grasp complex technologies, abstract technical concepts, identify key differentiators, and assess strategic and commercial relevance—even with limited initial information.
  • Proven experience in establishing and scaling innovation ecosystems, including partnerships with universities, research institutes, startups, and technology partners.
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud, networking, and AI infrastructure technologies.
  • Understanding of SoC architecture.
  • Understanding of advanced process nodes, packaging technologies, and semiconductor manufacturing flows would be a plus Excellent knowledge of Functional Verification methods and tools.
 
 

Profile:

  • Graduate Engineer or equivalent
  • At least 10 years of experience
  • Passion for emerging technologies, with a strategic, forward-looking mindset that blends strong technical expertise with business insight
  • Ability to spot trends, opportunities, and possibilities that others may overlook; sees potential where others see obstacles
  • Proactive, excellent stakeholder management across technical and executive levels
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to establish, maintain, and leverage professional networks across academia, startups, industry, and research partners
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (technical and non-technical audiences
