POSITION

Compute Business Line is working on cutting-edge markets, such as Smart Vision, Industrial Manufacturing, AI, Edge Computing. Within this BL, you will integrate the Applications team, in charge of supporting tasks related to pre-sales activities (demonstration, prototyping, benchmarking), customer project execution, and customer evaluation support. You will be the main interface to understand, address, and track developments related to Kalray and customer boards, and to low-level developments (drivers, etc.). 

Responsibilities: 

  • Interact with customers to support their evaluations of Kalray technology and their initial prototyping and developments. 
  • Participate to customer projects and performing low-level developments. 
  • Participate to the design and the bring-up of specific boards by customers. 
  • Adapt low-level embedded software (such as bootloaders and board management firmware) to dedicated customer use-cases. 
  • Interact with the SoC & Boards software and hardware design teams. 

CANDIDATE

Experience:

  • Graduate Engineer or PhD in embedded software or equivalent 
  • 5+ years of experience in embedded software development 

 

Skills: 

  • Strong C programming for embedded systems 
  • Experience with Linux system environment, GNU toolchain, debugging tools (JTAG/GDB), communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, …) 
  • Good understanding of board schematics 
  • Problem-solving and good communication skills (English/French) 
  • Ability to innovate and propose the right solutions. 
  • Knowledge in scripting languages as well as Python/Ruby will be appreciated. 
  • Ability to design board and review schematics will be appreciated.

  • Fluent in technical English

CONTRACT

Type of contract: permanent – full time.

Starting date: ASAP 

Annual salary: depending on profile and experience
