WHAT YOU 'LL BE DOING:

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you ll be part of the Boards & Systems Software team (10 people), you will participate in the development of low-level embedded software for Kalray solutions. The team’s scope and impact are wide, as it is responsible of development from the secure boot chain firmware to the deployment of rich OS such as Linux, and boards manufacturing.

You are looking for exciting challenges, you are curious and flexible, this position is for you. You will contribute to multiple topics, from the architecture of our manycore processor (MPPA) to the bring-up of the MPPA-based boards, you will have the opportunity to grow your skills continuously.

Responsibilities:

  •  Design, develop and maintain low-level embedded software such as secure bootloaders and board management firmware
  •  Develop production-quality software, including testing, documentation, static analysis, and CI
  •  Participate to architecture topics for the new generation of Kalray MPPA processor
  •  Participate to the Kalray based-MPPA boards design and manufacturing (validation, qualification, production)
  •  Interacting with the SoC & Boards hardware design teams, and obviously the Business Lines development teams

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Skills: 

  • Strong C programming for embedded systems
  • Experience with Linux system environment, GNU toolchain, debugging tools (JTAG/GDB), communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, …)
  • Good understanding of board schematics
  • Familiar with scripting languages as well as Python/Ruby
  • Familiar with Jenkins/CI
  • Ability to design board and review schematics
  • Knowledge in cybersecurity

 

Profile:

  • Graduate Engineer or PhD in embedded software or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in embedded software development
  • Problem-solving and good communication skills (English/French)
  • Ability to innovate and propose solutions
  • Adaptability and flexibility
