WHAT YOU ‘LL BE DOING:
As a Financial accountant, your main responsibilities will include:
- Maintain the general ledger and sub-ledger accounting records, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of all accounting entries.
- Prepare and review accruals, provisions, prepaid expenses, and other accounting adjustments.
- Pand process supplier payments in a timely manner.
- Monitor cash flow, treasury activities, and financial transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts.
- Verify the accuracy and integrity of the company’s accounting data, identifying and resolving discrepancies where necessary.
- Prepare tax returns and statutory tax declarations.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities in accordance with French GAAP, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal control processes.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing the required documentation and responding to auditors’ requests.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus
- Fluent in French with professional working proficiency in technical English (written and spoken)
Profile:
- BTS, DUT, or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial accounting
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Autonomous, meticulous and proactive
- Collaborative team player with strong organizational and communication skills
